TO SOAR, YOU MUST FIRST WAIT
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Naturally, to accomplish more, the expected thing to do is to put in more effort and increase your activities but not so with Gods kingdom.
Usually God’s ways go in the very opposite of the ways of this world.
To do more in the kingdom, you do less from a human standpoint.
Let me give you an example. In John 15, Jesus compared the relationship between God and the believer to the Vine and its branches.
The entire chapter was focused on abiding in fellowship with the Vine and the fruitfulness and productivity of the branches.
To get a fruiting branch to be more productive, what the Vinedresser who we know to be the Lord Jesus does, is to prune the branch that it may bear more fruit.
In essence, to be more, the branch has to become less first.
This is the Law of the kingdom.
Thank you Dear Holy Spirit for your word that has come to me today. I declare that i am given to and i yield myself to the ways of the spirit. I put away and die to the feelings of the flesh. I am just like the branch that has been pruned so that i bear more fruit. Thank you Father for i can be counted and trusted as an effective member of the body of Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
