THE PROSPEROUS MIND
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2
Wealth is a mindset; It’s not money. In fact, this statement is the first fundamental difference between the rich and the poor.
The poor see wealth and prosperity only in the light of money and material possessions but the truly wealthy know it’s more than that.
You know there are those who postulate that all the monies of the world should be aggregated and divided equally between all seven billion people in the world. Truth is if this is done, every single person will have a good share to make them very comfortable.
However, in a short while, actually less than six months I believe, the money will redistribute itself. The previously wealthy will have their money back and the poor would have become poorer.
If you doubt this, find out how many lottery winners remain wealthy? Less than five percent!
You see this was what the Apostle John was speaking of. God wants us to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
Your true prosperity is only to the measure of the prosperity of your soul.
There are three elements of the prosperous mind;
– A mind attuned to the reality of Kingdom Abundance and Increase.
– A mind subject to the principles and practice of kingdom prosperity. eg confessions, sowing and reaping.
– A mind educated on money matters i.e sound financial management skills, recognizing and creating money through value etc
The mind is where true wealth starts from.
And your first task is to settle it once and for all in your mind that God wants you rich. I can’t conceive how anyone ever comes to the conclusion that God wants us poor! I just can’t understand it.
The scriptures are full of several instances where God made it abundantly clear that our prosperity is His will.
Find these scriptures. Meditate on them. Eliminate every doubt in your mind. God wants you rich. He wants you abundantly supplied.
Scriptures like these should be on the fire of your mind:
“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause:
yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
2 Cor 8:9
Remember as a man thinks in his heart, so is he! Think wealth and grow wealthy today.
Blessed Lord, as I consciously meditate on the Scriptures, my mind is renewed, organized and programmed to think like one who God has made prosperous. My mind is guarded by your Word and completely yielded to the right ideas, thoughts, and messages about what God says concerning prosperity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
