THE ‘NO LIMITS’ LIFE
“Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!” 2 Cor 6:11-13 MSG
Christianity is an invitation to the no-limits life we have available in Christ.
You see, many have the wrongest conception of what the Christian life really is.
For many, it’s a life of dos and don’ts. You know this really is why many don’t find our faith attractive.
To others, it’s simply a ticket to escape hell and judgement.
And yet for some, they have no idea what it’s all about. They were born into religious christian homes and they have simply followed their family tradition.
These misconceptions and many more have shaped the experience that many have of God. Unfortunately so.
Christianity is not a religion. It has a form of religion in it but it’s far more than one. It is the very life of God with its limitless possibilities made available to mortal man.
To make it possible for us to believe this and live up to this, Jesus came as a man, lived as a man, ministered as a man, performed miracles as a man! He didn’t do all he did as God. No! The scriptures says he emptied himself of all glory that He had with God and became flesh and blood like the children of Abraham.
“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:”
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same;”
Jesus was a man and part of His mission was to show us the limitless possibilities to the man who carries the God-life.
Take the limits off your life. You are capable of so much more. You are designed to live a life of endless possibilities.
Stop limiting yourself. Look beyond you to the God in you.
This was the charge Paul gave the Corinthians. They had limited themselves by their thoughts. No man rises beyond the permission he’s given himself to be great.
You are called to the No-Limits life. Step into it today!
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the kind of life you have brought to me. I remove every form of limit in my life; be it spiritual, mental, or physical. Rather, I take on the possibility mentality given to me by the word of God. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
