THE MARK OF SERVANTS – CONSECRATION
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: Acts 2:16-18 KJV
The army of the end time will be a consecrated people, consecrated to the love walk, to God and His purposes. It’s not just anybody that shows up in church (because sons, daughters, that’s family), but the people that will do the work will be handmaids and servants.
Consecration is the mark of servants and there are two things that mark consecrated handmaiden and servants – fellowship and intercession and it’s important we realign our lives with this.
In essence, when you look at the conduct of their lives, petition or supplication is so far less compared to their fellowship with God. There are too many people who are angry with God, so vicious that they are angry with God. Fellowship with the spirit of God, spending the time in his presence, ministering to the Lord with Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs is an indication of being full of the holy spirit. You walk close and there are melodies under their breath – it’s the song of the redeemed, the songs of Zion because they know that there are depths to their Christianity, there’s a world within that’s more real.
Psalms 46:4 NKJV says “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High”.
There is healing, the provision in this river. All the trees that were on the path of the river bore fruit in every season. It’s that same river Ezekiel saw. That river is locked up in the inside of us all – river flows from the side of the temple and we’re the temple, the shrine of God. This river can be stirred at any time, on the road, in every circumstance, in unfavourable conditions etc. You use the word of God to stir the river with boldness for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Answers are in this river.
God said, He shall pour out of his spirit not pour down his spirit. He pours out of himself the spirit, and now we pour out from ourselves of the holy ghost. The rains are locked up within our spirit causing an outpouring. If you do remain in God’s presence long enough, worry would have been taken care of – you will smell his presence
We continually see a resonating theme of joy in his presence as seen in Psalms 16:11 and Psalms 21:6.
The second mark is Intercession where a believer labours in prayer concerning the fulfilment of the heart and desires of God here on earth.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for I am consecrated to You and your purposes. My life is aligned towards constant fellowship and intercession. I am stirred up from within and rivers of answers flow from me to the nations. In Jesus Name, Amen.
