CHRISTIANITY IS SUPERNATURAL
“The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:2-3
This verse here is possibly one of the most popular in the Bible yet one of the least understood texts. There’s so much revelation and virtue in these two verses enough to make a victor, a healer, a champion out of anyone regardless of what his life looks like right now.
Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews had paid Jesus a visit late at night. He was curious to know what the source of Jesus’ super human abilities were. Please note that he wasn’t questioning Jesus about his character, piety or synagogue attendance.
While none of these were in question, that wasn’t what impressed Nicodemus enough to pay him a visit. It was the miracles and the supernatural that impressed him.
As a side thought, except the world sees signs and wonders they will never believe.
Jesus patterned real Christianity for us. It was absolutely supernatural. It was different from what Nicodemus had been used to. This wasn’t mere religion. It was supernatural through and through. Nicodemus wanted this and so asked him what the difference was.
Jesus made complex things so simple that sometimes it was so easy to miss it.
Jesus told him that the secret to the life He lived and demonstrated was the New Birth. It wasn’t how well He could pray nor fast. It was simply the New Birth.
This life is available and is the norm of every new creature.
Every new creature in Christ is supernatural. We have become so by reason of our birth.
Christianity isn’t a religion. It’s the supernatural life of God lived through a natural vessel.
Religion teaches that you have to fast, pray before you can have power enough to do anything substantial.
Christianity teaches that you are supernatural because of who you are not what you do.
The believers greatest asset is the revelation of who He is in Christ. We do and have because of who we are.
We will achieve more if we gave more time to prayer and meditation on the realities of who we are in Christ.
Thank You Dear Heavenly Father for the supernatural life you have imparted in to my spirit. I thank You for the authority you have given me to cast out devils, speak in tongues, and walk in victory and dominion over Satan, the world, and its systems. Thank you for your divine life in me, and the power of your Word and the Holy Spirit in me today, and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
