THE SHOUT OF A KING
“Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.” Numbers 23:20-21
While the children of Israel were on their 40 years journey through the wilderness they were faced with some of the most vicious enemy nations possible.
Moab was on such a nation led by King Balak. His violence was more a mix of fear and anger. He had heard what Israel did to other enemy nations and he feared for his own country but he knew that he couldn’t defeat Israel save that he removed the spiritual covering of the blessing that was on the nation.
Hence he contracted a Prophet by the name Balaam to curse them. After several unsuccessful attempts, Balak declares that rather than being able to curse them, he had received a commandment of the Lord to bless them. Amongst several things, he gives us a clue into why Israel couldn’t be cursed.
There was no iniquity in Israel, the Lord was his God but very importantly he adds the phrase ‘the shout of a king is among them.’
The phrase ‘the shout of a king’ is indicative of the acknowledgment and confidence of Royalty. They were fully aware of who they were and they lived in the reality of it.
Some feel that it’s referring to God doing the shout within them but no that’s not what is meant.
The shout of the king is the voice of royalty that emanates from the soul of a man. It’s the acknowledgment of what God has made us and living in the consciousness of it.
Your consciousness rings out loud in the Spirit. What you know about you matters. What you think about you matters.
In Acts 19:15, when the sons of sceva tried casting the demon out, the demons asked them, “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”
In the realm of the Spirit, the question that you’re answering without knowing it is ‘who are you?’.
The revelation of Royalty is the most powerful and most foundation in the Spirit.
Some don’t even know this. For some it’s a whisper, for yet others it’s a voice but God is raising a generation within whom it’s a shout!
This shout within is an antidote to the curse. This shout activates the blessing.
This shout shuts the door to the enemy!
Is there a shout of the king within you?
Dear Father, thanks be unto you, for always leading me in triumph in Christ, and manifesting through me the sweet aroma of your knowledge in every place. Christ lives in me, and He’s my all. Thank you for the consciousness of who I am and who I am. With this knowledge, I live victoriously, knowing who God has made me be, every day of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
